Clickable table (above) will take a few seconds to load… CLICK table for latest prices. DRONE RACING INTERNATIONAL FPV was asked ‘what would you recommend as the first step for a complete beginner entering FPV in summer 2020?‘. *Kit includes a brushed FPV drone. The majority of links on this table are affiliate links. I receive a commission (at no extra cost to you) if you make a purchase after clicking one of the affiliate links. Read our Affiliate Link Policy for more information.

Use our comparison table to find a 100% Ready To Fly FPV kit or FPV simulator with the greatest popularity or value. If you choose a simulator as your first step into FPV, connect a radio controller by USB to your computer or console for maximum realism, which you can later use for flying real-life FPV drones. Continue reading for opinions on the best first step into FPV drones from individual FPV pilots.

If you have a decently high end computer? Get a transmitter and Velocidrone (sim). If you don’t? Get a BNF/RTF combo like the Emax Tinyhawk  Tom

I can’t see why drl sim doesn’t have more votes. I like velocidrone and liftoff more as simulators but their “tutorials” are awful, drl sim has much better tutorials and is much better for those new to the hobby  Cody

After you’re acquainted with the velocidrone simulator, do yourself a favor and get the Beebrain Brushless. There isn’t a better 1S micro quad on the market that as well has a 100mw VTX so you can fly your heart out  Marcus

CurryKitten Sim, its great and free!  David
